剧情简介

影片描写大邮轮海神号在新年前夕遭大风浪将船整个翻覆过来，船上大批乘客千方百计逃生。其中，以牧师吉恩·哈克曼为首的一组人在同心协力下越过重重障碍爬到水面上，成为少数战胜灾难的生还者。

幕后制作

轰动一时的大堆头灾难片，堪称灾难片的先锋。导演罗纳德·尼姆擅长于制造人性味，尤其在於于雪莉·温特斯英勇潜水的一段最为感受人，牧师舍已为人的精神亦令人敬仰，堪称是同类作品中的高水准之作。影片着重描写逃亡过程，但台词相当幼稚，加上当年的一流特效今天看来已毫无冲击力，因此影片只能当作影史资料来欣赏。1979年推出续集《Beyond the Poseidon Adventure》。
